The Da Vinci Centre for Integrated Learning PDF Print E-mail

The Da Vinci Centre for Integrated Learning, which forms part of The Da Vinci Institute for  Technology Management, focuses on integrated learning through short learning programmes. By taking the reality of technology, innovation, people and systems as our starting points, we customise our learning programmes to be company, job and/or, person-specific in order to bridge gaps between formal and informal education, and between individuals and the business sector. To that end we offer complete needs assessments which include:

Unique management development programmes
Over twenty stand-alone learning programmes

What is meant by “Integrated Learning” and why Short Programmes?

“Integrated ” means “to bring parts together into a whole”. Learners have two options.

1. Complete stand-alone short programmes as part of an overall development strategy thereby integrating new learning experiences into an existing qualification or skills framework without necessarily pursuing a formal qualification. Credits
for each completed programme will be obtained.

          Alternatively,

2. Work towards a recognised qualification by completing a number of stand-alone short programmes and, upon successful completion of each, accumulate credits that could lead to a recognised certificate, diploma or degree

Da Vinci qualifications are registered with the Department of Education, accredited by the Council on Higher Education (CHE) and recorded with SAQA. All learning programmes are aligned with registered qualifications at the appropriate NQF level.

If an individual decides not to pursue further learning, credits will be retained for programmes completed. This means  that an individual can always  pursue his or her studies at a later date without loss of recognition of previous achievements attained.
