1 - INTERACTION (and preparation):
•    Pre–MA completed and content integrated into PMA.
•    PMA discussion by the facilitator during workshop.
•    Facilitator to give guidance towards completion regarding approach, scope, content, research, referencing.
•    Discuss and solve student queries during workshop. Students have the opportunity contact the facilitators during the PMA completion

2 - ASSESSMENT (First marking):

•    Submission of PMA.
•    Facilitator to assess.
•    Facilitator required to give constructive, comprehensive comments towards guidance to approve short comings and as acknowledgement of excellence.

3 - MODERATION (Second marking):

•    10-20% of PMAs of the group send for moderation.
•    If no discrepancies are found it is assumed that the standard of first marking by the assessor was inline and acceptable.
•    This is seen a second marking.

4 - REMEDIAL 1:
•    Students who have failed are given a chance to resubmit by applying the detailed directive comments from the assessor.

5 - REMEDIAL 2:
•    Students, who are in agreement with the mark received for the assessed PMA, but wants improve their mark by rewriting, amending or adding to the content, could  then resubmit and apply for a remark/reassessment.
•    The remarking fee is R300 per PMA and will be for the account of the student.
•    Such applications can only be requested once per module.
•    The mark allocated for the re-assessment will be taken as the official mark, whether higher or lower than the previous/first mark

6 - RESOLUTIONS:
•    Students who disagree or are dissatisfied with the allocated mark received for their PMA can appeal against this result by following the Appeals procedure (as per the Appeals policy).
•    This entails payment of the Appeals fee of R300.
•    The PMA will be assessed by a moderator to submit a third independent mark.
•    If this appeal is successful the fee will be reimbursed to the student, if not there will not be any reimbursement.
